Topic Description:
Workplace investigations can be one of the most challenging responsibilities for HR professionals. This presentation provides a practical, step-by-step framework for conducting fair, thorough, and defensible investigations. Participants will learn how to define the scope of an investigation, select a neutral investigator, interview witnesses effectively, gather and evaluate evidence, assess credibility, and prepare clear findings. By the end of the session, attendees will have the tools and confidence to manage workplace investigations that can withstand scrutiny.

Speaker Information:
Sherli is an employment attorney specializing in workplace investigations and training. She draws on over fifteen years of experience as a litigator and workplace investigator. Sherli prides herself in conducting thorough investigations that allow employers to make informed decisions on challenging and sensitive workplace matters.
Sherli is licensed to practice law in California and New York. She is an active committee member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) and an AWI certificate holder (AWI-CH).
