Topic Description:

  • Define the benefits of a financial fraud strategy
  • Discuss the difference between consumer and business fraud and the disparate impact on businesses
  • Review the current fraud trends and the process if you experience fraud
  • Discuss how small businesses can mitigate future fraudulent exposure with an effective financial fraud strategy

After owning his own marketing business for 20 years, Doug Platts began his banking career. For the past 25 years, Doug has worked exclusively with small business banks in the Los Angeles market as a Banker and Commercial Lender.

Due to the incredible increase in small business financial fraud activity, much of Doug’s time has been spent working with small business clients helping them minimize their exposure to fraud as well as recovering losses once fraud has occurred.
