As businesses, we are responsible for keeping up with many laws and requirements, from tax law updates to HR regulation changes.

Topics will include:

  • CalOSHA updates from the last two years
  • Required written safety programs that your company needs to effectively implement

As Founder of Reliance Safety Consultants, Cardiel personally knows how it feels to see your loved ones injured at work. When he was eight years of age and came home from school one day, Cardiel’s father was at home with a broken arm. His arm was almost severed at work on equipment due to lack of training, lock-out tag-out procedures, or safety oversight. Injuries at work cause emotional and financial hardships to families, and financially impact companies and decreasing profits. This personal connection fuels Cardiel’s passion for safety and compliance.

Cardiel’s staff of Safety Professionals are Authorized OSHA Instructors and have degrees and certifications in the Occupational Safety and Environmental field. Their experience ranges from working at Cal/OSHA to working at Fortune 500 Companies providing consulting, training/certification, written programs, and audits/inspections. They provide services throughout California, and neighboring states, including Hawaii.

The East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (EAC) is composed of employer volunteers representing a cross-section of businesses and industries.  The EAC was developed to promote a stronger partnership between the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and the business community. Its commitment is to assist employers in conducting their business more effectively and efficiently, to provide information on employment-related issues, and to enhance the communication between EDD and the private sector.
